Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (He brings forth the living from the dead...)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
His second question states: We request an explanation of the meaning of:
brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the livingيُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ
[Yunus:31], with an example if you are able?
Answer: This is among the signs of Allah and among the proofs of His power, Glorified and Exalted is He, that He brings forth the living from the dead and the dead from the living. This is among His signs, Glorified and Exalted is He, and among the proofs of His great power, that He is the Lord of all the worlds, the Creator, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful over all things, and that He, Glorified and Exalted is He, gives life and causes death and disposes of His creation as He wills, and that He is the One worthy of worship. The scholars have given examples of this, among which is: bringing forth a Muslim from a disbeliever. One may be a disbeliever, and Allah brings forth from his loins living Muslims. The Muslim is alive and the disbeliever is dead in meaning, so Allah brings forth from a disbelieving woman and a disbelieving man Muslim children, whom Allah guides and reforms, Glorified and Exalted is He, while their father and mother are not so.
Likewise, He brings forth the dead from the living. One may be a Muslim and children are born to him who disbelieve and do not remain upon the religion of their fathers and mothers, but rather they are upon the opposite of that, and they embrace other than Islam. This is bringing forth the dead from the living.
Among the things they have also given as an example is: bringing forth the hen from the egg. The hen is a living animal, and the egg is in the category of death or the dead because it is inanimate. So Allah, Exalted and Majestic, brings forth from it a hearing, seeing, living animal, and this is clear. And the reverse is likewise: He brings forth the dead from the living. This dead thing is the egg, and the hen is living, so Allah brings forth from it an inanimate egg in the category of the dead, while the hen is living. And this has parallels. Yes. And whoever wants more on this should refer to the books of exegesis on the noble verse. Yes.
