Ruling on borrowing to perform the obligatory Hajj

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a question in the same letter, sent by the listener Yahya Yahya Hazazi, a first cousin. He says in this question: If I intend to perform Hajj and I sell some livestock, and I borrow a sum of money from anyone, is the Hajj valid or is it not permissible? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
Answer: There is nothing wrong if you borrow something; there is nothing wrong if you have the means to repay it after returning. However, if you have nothing, it is better that you do not borrow, and you are excused, praise be to Allah, because Hajj is obligatory only with the ability to perform it. The one who cannot afford it except by borrowing and incurring debt is not able to perform it. But if you have, praise be to Allah, what you can use to repay it, from the income of a property, from trade, or otherwise, then there is nothing wrong and no blame in borrowing or taking a loan and performing Hajj. There is no blame in any of that, and the Hajj is valid, praise be to Allah. Yes.
