Ruling on a woman going out to work without her husband's consent

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
السؤال:
A message was received by the program from one of the female listeners, Umm Salim 'Abd al-Rahim al-Shuraym Barakat, a Sudanese resident of Abu Dhabi. The message consists of six pages. A summary of what is in this message is that a disagreement arose between her and her husband regarding her work, as he considers it not permissible for her to work and leave the house, while she is in great need of work to provide for some of her family members and relatives. She asks the Shaykh for guidance. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is obligatory for the wife to obey her husband in such a matter and to leave her work, because remaining in the house has many benefits for the husband and the children, as well as other benefits in preserving her safety and protecting her from dangers. Therefore, it is obligatory to obey her husband in this and to remain in her house, unless she had stipulated in the marriage contract that she would continue in her work, such as teaching or nursing, or the like, for the Muslims are bound by their conditions. However, if she consents and leaves the work of her own accord, that is different. But if she did not stipulate this, she has no right to work without his permission. And success is from Allah.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
