How to repent for one who has committed major sins that warrant the application of hudud

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from listener (S. A. J.), who says in his message: I am a young man, twenty-one years old, and during my adolescence I committed many sins, some major and some minor, and some that warrant the application of the hudud (fixed Qur'anic punishments), but Allah’s covering prevented their implementation. Now I have repented to Allah with a sincere repentance, and I have become remorseful for everything I did. My question is: Will Allahaccept my repentance without the application of the hudud, or is it necessary to apply the hudud and then declare my repentance? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with the best reward.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
So be glad, my brother! Repentance wipes out what came before it, and praise be to Allah. There is no need to apply the hudud as long as Allah has covered you up and you have repented to your Lord. However, you must be truthful in that, persist in repentance, do righteous deeds, and be cautious of what Allah has forbidden for you. And Allah accepts the repentance of those who repentand He, the Exalted, says:
But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَى
[20:82] And He, the Exalted, says::
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
[39:53] The scholars said: It is regarding those who repent. All scholars agreed that this verse is about those who repent, and that Allah forgives all their sins if they repent to Him sincerely.
Sincere repentance includes remorse for the past, abandoning the sins, and a sincere resolve not to return to them. If you, praise be to Allah, have been remorseful for the past, resolved not to return to it, and abandoned all the sins you committed, then you are, praise be to Allah, in a good state, and you are successful, as He, the Exalted, said:
And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
[24:31].
So we advise you to be patient, steadfast in the truth, strive in righteous deeds, seek forgiveness frequently, do all good, be cautious of all evil, and have good expectations of Allahand you will have a good outcome as long as you remain on that path. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له
Sunan Ibn Majah 4250Da’if (Darussalam)
and praise be to Allah for that. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. So, openly declaring repentance does not require verbalization, but rather action, Shaykh Abdulaziz?

Answer : Righteous action prescribed for one who has repented, other than the obligatory duties. That is: he strives to perform the obligatory duties, abandon the prohibitions, and complete the righteous actions, such as voluntary prayer, voluntary fasting, increasing in dhikr, tasbih, and tahlil in any place and at any time, whether openly or secretly. He strives in righteous actions openly and secretly. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah bless you, and may Allah reward you with the best reward.
