Ruling on making up missed prayers for one who intentionally left them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner: I am twenty-seven years old now, and in the past I used to pray and then stop, but now—praise be to Allah—I am consistent in prayer without interruption. I pray every obligatory prayer in its prescribed time, along with the preceding and following recommended prayers, and I also make up the missed ones; therefore, my prayers are long. Sometimes I am busy and do not have enough time to perform the make-up prayers. What is your opinion on this, may Allah reward you with good?

Answer:
The Shaykh: Repentance is sufficient, my daughter. Repentance is sufficient. Repentance for what has passed is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. You do not have to make up the missed prayers. Rather, you must be steadfast in obedience to Allah and maintain the prayer in its times until death. As for the past, you must have sincere repentance and regret, and you must ask Allah for forgiveness and pardon. This is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. For Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
[Surat al-Nur: 31] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Verily migration wipes out all the previous (misdeeds)التوبة تهدم ما كان قبلها
Sahih Muslim 121
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له
