How to Pray for One Suffering from Incontinence

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Fahd Muhammad Salim al-Qahatani from Riyadh sent a long message, the summary of which is: that he is a man who suffered a fracture in his spine, and he is afflicted with incontinence, and he asks how he should perform his prayer?

Answer:
Allah the Exalted said:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16] Pray according to your condition. If the state of impurity is continuous, if the urination is continuous; pray according to your condition. When the time for prayer enters, you should clean yourself, even with tissues, until you are clean with the tissues three times or more, then perform the ablution for prayer, and pray according to your condition, even if the water comes out:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16] Like the woman with irregular bleeding who prays according to her condition, even if the blood comes out... as long as the blood continues with her, she prays at times other than menstruation, and she leaves off prayer during the time of menstruation, and at the other times she prays according to her condition, and she performs ablution for every prayer.
And so it is with the one who has incontinence who is afflicted with an illness, or a fracture in the vertebrae, in the back, or something similar, and the urination or defecation continues with him, he prays according to his condition. But when the time for prayer enters, he cleans himself with paper and tissues, or with water, then he performs the ablution for prayer, then he prays, even if the state of impurity occurs:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16] Yes.
