Who are the prophets who greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the night he was raised up, and were they with their souls or with their bodies?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In a question from someone, I was asked a question and I did not know; I do not have, of course, knowledge of which prophets greeted the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) during his ascension? Were they with their souls or with their selves and bodies? That is, did Allah the Exalted return them to life and they greeted the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), or were it their souls that greeted the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The Shaykh : First, we have an authentic hadith:
Increase your sending of prayers upon me on Friday; for your prayers reach me. أكثروا عليَّ من الصلاة يوم الجمعة ؛ فإنَّ صلاتكم تبلغني
. They said: How is that when you have died?! He said:
for Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets إنَّ الله حرَّمَ على الأرض أن تأكل أجساد الأنبياء
Sunan Ibn Majah 1637Da’if (Darussalam)
. So the prophets are alive in their graves, but it is a barzakh (the interval between death and resurrection) life, distinguished from the life of the martyrs, let alone that of the other believers. As for when he (peace be upon him) was raised up and saw Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and many of the other prophets, it is not permissible for us to strain ourselves to enter into knowing its details; because this is from the realm of the unseen, so we believe in it and do not ask how, and the matter is ended.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
