The ruling on selling the large box of medicine when the small one is sufficient for the patient

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Selling the larger box of medicine to the patient, even though the smaller box is available and using the smaller box may be sufficient, while the larger box costs more, given that using the larger box does not harm the patient and the doctor has not specified which box is required?

Answer:
He must clarify the truth; he must explain both options and describe them to the person in need. He should say: "I have a large box that costs this much, and a small box that costs this much." He should explain the benefits of this one and the benefits of that one, and he should fear Allah in this matter. There is no blame on him.
As for singling out the large box, that harms people. However, he should explain both options, because some people have low incomes and need the small box as long as it is sufficient.
So the conclusion is: he should explain both options and describe them to the person in need, stating that this one costs this much and that one costs that much, that the benefit of this one is such and such, and the benefit of that one is such and such. He should be truthful in this and fear Allah in it, and then the person in need can buy whatever he wishes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
