The Causes of the Calamities That Befall a Muslim

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We then move on to a message received from the questioner (M. A. Y) from Bahrain. This questioner asks in the first question: Are the calamities that befall a Muslim a trial from Allah or a result of the sins he has committed? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Misfortunes may occur as a means of elevating one's rank and increasing one's reward, just as they befall the prophets and many of the righteous, such as what befell Ayyub (peace be upon him) and others, and what befell our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Uhud and on other occasions. Misfortunes may also occur because of sins, as Allah the Exalted said:
And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.
[Surah al-Shura: 30]. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: :
What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself
[Surah al-Nisa: 79]. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
