Does a wife sin by obeying her husband in not giving charity to her sister?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a questioner from Riyadh who says: Your Eminence, Shaykh Abdul Aziz (may Allah preserve him), she mentions that she is a woman who says: I have a neighbor who is my sister from the same mother and father. And I, O Shaykh, give her charity from time to time. But because of a disagreement between my husband and her husband, my husband forbade me from giving her charity, or giving her some necessities, such as vegetables, and other things. Do I sin if I ask for something and I do not give it to her because of my husband's prohibition? And what is your advice for my husband? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
You do not sin if her husband is providing for her and she is not in need. Her husband is providing for her and spending on her. You must not disobey your husband; rather, you must obey and be submissive to your husband, and you must not contradict your husband.
However, if she is in need and her husband has nothing, and she is in need of food to save her from death; then you must give her charity; because there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator. But if she has what provides for her, and her husband is spending on her, and it is only voluntary gifts of vegetables, this is not permissible. Rather, you must obey and be submissive to your husband, and, praise be to Allah, her husband is providing for her, and praise be to Allah; until your husband is pleased with you.
The advice for your husband is that he should fear Allah, and that he should allow you to do so, and that he should repel evil with good, and that he should be broad-minded and of good character. Even if he is angry with her husband, he should not prevent you from your sister. This is what is prescribed for him. We advise him of this. We advise him to help you in doing good and maintaining family ties. And if he is angry with her husband, he should not prevent you from maintaining ties with your sister. We advise him of this. We advise him to have gentleness, mercy, and care, and to allow you to maintain ties with your sister.

The presenter: We thank Allah for you, O Shaykh, and may Allah bless you, and in your knowledge, and benefit the Muslims with you.

The Shaykh: And you likewise.
