Ruling on delaying the making up of fasts for a woman with a stomach ulcer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was received by the program from the Eastern Region. The sender of the message is one of the female listeners, Umm Badr (M. G. A), who says: She is a woman suffering from a stomach ulcer for about five years. She fasted for two of those years, but it was intermittent, and she has three years remaining. The two years she did fast were on intermittent days, and she found them physically exhausting. She asks the Shaykh for guidance. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
I ask Allah for the questioner to be healed and to be in good health, and that Allah may combine for her the reward and the health. There is no blame on her for leaving the fast until she is healed; because Allah the Exalted says:
So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ
[al-Baqarah:185]. So if fasting is difficult for her for these remaining years, she should delay it until she is healed, and until the specialist doctor decides that fasting will not harm her. She is, by the praise of Allah, excused and should not burden herself. Allah the Exalted says:
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacityلا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
[al-Baqarah:286], and He says:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16]. We ask Allah for healing for us and for her. Yes.

The presenter: Amen. May Allah reward you with good.
