Question:
In her second question, she asks about the noble verse:
And already were messengers ridiculed before youوَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ
[Al-Anbiya: 41]. What is the occasion of the revelation of this verse?

Answer:
Its occasion was to console the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He says: Do not be distressed, for the messengers before you were mocked. The Quraysh mock him, and their disbelievers and others mock him. So Allah consoles him and comforts him, saying to him: Do not be pained by this, and do not be sad about this, for the messengers before you were likewise mocked. So you have in them an example. Just as they lied, you were lied to; and just as they were mocked, you are mocked. Therefore, patience is necessary. For this reason, He said in the other verse:
So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for themفَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَهُمْ
[Al-Hijr: 35]. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
