The pilgrims are not required to perform the festival prayer

Question:
This questioner, Abu Abdullah, asks: What is the ruling on one who shaves his head on the Day of Sacrifice before going to prayer, given that he was advised against doing so during Hajj?

Answer:
This requires a detailed explanation:
If he is performing Hajj, this is when he has stoned the Jamarat; it is prescribed for him to shave. The people of Mina do not have a prayer; they have no prayer. Their prayer is the stoning of the pillars. They have no prayer; they stone the Jamarat, and then shaving is better. Even if he shaves before the stoning, it is sufficient, and there is no harm. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about that, and he said (peace and blessings be upon him):
No harm will come; no harm will comeلا حرج، لا حرج
Sunan Abi Dawud 2015Sahih (Al-Albani)
He was asked on the Day of Festival about one who brought forward and one who delayed, and he said:
There is no harm.لا حرج
(peace and blessings be upon him).
But the Sunnah is to stone, then slaughter, then shave or shorten the hair, and shaving is better. Then the circumambulation is to be last, the Tawaf al-Ifadah. But if he brings some of them forward, there is no harm. They do not have a prayer on the Day of Festival; the stoning of the pillars takes the place of their prayer. Yes.
