The superiority of praying in the mosque with the larger congregation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In his final question, he says: We have two mosques in the village. One is close to the house, and the other is somewhat far. It is known that the first mosque does not have the neighboring people gathering in it, nor do they go out to pray in it as a congregation. The other mosque has a considerable number of people gathering in it. I perform the prayer in the close mosque with one of the brothers, and this is on a permanent basis. So what do you advise us? Do we pray in this close mosque, my brother in Allah who is in charge of this mosque, and I? Or should I leave it and go to the far mosque where a large number of people gather, leaving the first mosque with only one person praying in it? Please inform us, may Allah reward you, may Allah reward you with good. And what do you advise our brothers who are neighbors to the mosque and who do not perform the prayer in it as a congregation?

Answer:
Praying in the far mosque that has the large congregation is better. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith:
A man's prayer offered with another man is purer than his prayer which he offers alone, and his prayer with two men is purer than his prayer with one and if they are more (in number), it is more beloved to Allahصلاة الرجل مع الرجل أزكى من صلاته وحده، وصلاته مع الرجلين أزكى من صلاته مع الرجل، وما كان أكثر فهو أحب إلى الله
Bulugh al-Maram 2:330
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The greatest of people in reward for prayer is the one who is farthest in walking to itأعظم الناس في الصلاة أجرًا أبعدهم فأبعدهم ممشى
.
And the close mosque must have a reason why they left it, except for a reason. So they must be asked about the reason for their leaving it. Either because it is small, or because it does not have the available services, or for other reasons, it must be so. The reason for which the congregation left praying in the small one must be known. And if the conditions are met in the close mosque, why do its neighbors leave it? There must be reasons. The reasons must be clarified to the scholar who is with you, or the court. They must not have left it except for reasons that necessitated that.
So the result is: that the far mosque, and the one with the larger congregation, is better. As for the close mosque that the people left; its reason must be known. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
