The Ruling on a Woman Praying While Wearing Perfume

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She says: Is it permissible for me to pray while wearing perfume? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, there is nothing wrong with praying while wearing perfume; in fact, perfume is prescribed for the believing man and the believing woman. However, the believing woman wears perfume in her home and in the presence of her husband. She is not permitted to wear perfume when going out to the markets or to the mosques. As for the believing man, he wears perfume in his home, in the markets, and in the mosque; it is required of him, and it is part of the Sunnah of the messengers.
So if a woman prays in her home while wearing perfume, such as agarwood oil, rose, amber, or the like, there is nothing wrong with that, and there is no blame on her; in fact, it is required. But she should not go out wearing perfume whose scent people can detect; she should not go out with it to the markets or to the mosques, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited this. Yes.
