How to purify carpets (carpets)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: How do we purify carpets, and what is called carpeting, when they are affected by ritual impurity? Is it obligatory for us to wash the entire thing, or is it sufficient to wash only the place of the impurity? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is like the ground; water is poured on it, and it is washed with plenty of water, and that is sufficient. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Bedouin urinated in the mosque, he ordered that a bucket of water be poured on it." So it is the same with carpets; more water than the urine is poured on them, in abundance, and that is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. So there is no need to wash the carpet, or the carpeting, in its entirety?

The Shaykh: Pouring water on the spot is sufficient.

The presenter: On the spot.

The Shaykh: It is sufficient, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
