The ruling on making up missed prayers and fasts for one who left them off without an excuse

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is your Excellency’s ruling regarding a woman who reached puberty at a young age and did not learn the rulings of the religion and the matters of the Shari'ah concerning her to the extent of her current knowledge? She did not pray, did not fast, and did not observe hijab in front of non-mahram men. After she learned the rulings of the religion in this matter, she began observing hijab, praying, and fasting, whereas previously she was fasting like children, breaking her fast whenever she wished and fasting whenever she could. Does she now have to make up the fasts and prayers she missed? And does she have to give charity in addition to making up the fasts? If there is charity, what is its amount? It is known that the period she spent ignorant of the rulings of the Shari'ah and not observing them was two and a half years. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The correct view is that she owes nothing, and repentance is sufficient. This is because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not order those who embraced Islam to make up the prayers and fasts they had missed. Also, because leaving off prayer is disbelief, so repentance is sufficient in this case. If she was not praying and not fasting, then repentance is sufficient, and she does not have to make up anything. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
