The ruling on making up missed prayers and fasts for one who left them for several years

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says—may the Shaykh be respected—Umm Aml from Yanbu: Menstruation reached her, and she was fourteen years old. Since menstruation reached her—she says—until she was nineteen years old, she did not pray and did not fast. Now Umm Aml says: that she has repented to Allah with a sincere repentance, and she has started praying, and she is careful to maintain the prayers, and she fasts, and she does many voluntary acts, and she praises Allah. She says: Direct us, may the Shaykh be respected, regarding what I neglected. Do I make up the fasting and the prayers that have passed?

Answer:
You do not have to make up anything. Repentance is sufficient. Repentance wipes out what came before it. You have submitted to Allah regarding what you did before, and praise be to Allah. You do not have to make up any prayers or fasts. Repentance wipes out what came before it. We ask Allah for steadfastness in the truth for us and for you. Those who submitted to Islam were not ordered by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to make up any fasting or prayers. May Allah send blessings and peace upon him.
