The Ruling on Taking a Wage for Teaching the Qur'an and Calling People to Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is Your Eminence’s opinion regarding one who takes a wage for what he does in calling people to Allah and teaching the Noble Qur'an?

Answer:
There is no harm in that. A teacher is paid for teaching the Qur'an, instructing in the Qur'an, and calling people to Allah , because these matters require time, expense, and hardship. If he is given from the public treasury, from the endowments of Muslims, or from some of the benefactors what helps him in teaching, memorization, and calling people to Allah, or in teaching in general, that is all fine, there is no harm in it, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
