The Ruling on Sleeping After the Fajr and 'Asr Prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One of the listening sisters, who indicated her name with the letters (F. A), asks your Eminence and says: What is the ruling on sleeping after the Fajr prayer? Does it cause the heart to become hard? Is it considered among the prohibited things? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no harm in sleeping after Fajr, and we do not know of any objection to it. What has become widespread among people—that it is not good, that it is such and such, and that it is so and so—has no reliable evidence for it. So, there is no harm in sleeping after Fajr, and there is no harm in sleeping after 'Asr.
However, if one sits in his place of prayer after Fajr, reciting, seeking forgiveness from Allah, glorifying Him, saying Allahu Akbar, and the like, until the sun rises, this is better, following the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And if one leaves it, there is no blame on him. If one leaves it and gets up to attend to his needs, or sleeps, or engages in other matters, there is nothing wrong with him. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
