What is the ruling on hair dye other than black?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on hair dye other than black? And the intention is dye, not henna?

Answer:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Change this gray hair, and avoid blackغيروا هذا الشيب، واجتنبوا السواد
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to change his gray hair with henna and katam, and the Companions did the same. If one changes it with yellow, there is no harm. As for pure black, it is not permissible; because of his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:
Change this gray hair, and avoid blackغيروا هذا الشيب، واجتنبوا السواد
and the other hadiths came regarding the prohibition of black. So if a woman changes her gray hair with something other than black, or a man does the same with yellow or red, there is no harm in that; rather, it is a recommended practice (sunnah).

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
