The Ruling on Listening to the Qur'an for the Purpose of Companionship

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One of the female listeners sent a message, indicating her name with the initials (A. F. A). Our sister has two questions: In her first question, she says: I feel fear and sometimes terror when I sleep alone in the room, or in my bedroom, so I am forced to play the Qur'an in order to sleep to its verses. Is this permissible? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

Answer:
I do not know of any harm in this; because the Qur'an is the companion of the believer, and it is the remembrance of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), so listening to it is an act of worship. If a person needs to listen to it to remove loneliness and to find peace of heart, then there is no harm in that, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: Praise be to Allah, may Allah reward you with good.
