The Shaykh’s mention of a benefit regarding the choice in the prostrations for forgetfulness, whether before or after the closing salam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : But I see here that, I don’t know, I want to say a word and benefit from you: Is it permissible to take advantage of one of the two aspects of the Sunnah in the prostrations for forgetfulness in order to correct the prayer of some people? Is the word "take advantage" appropriate, or is there another word that serves its place?
The student : I mean: the benefit, the benefit.

The Shaykh : What takes the place of "taking advantage"?
The student : Let us seize the opportunity, or I mean, or the benefit.

The Shaykh : Early, "that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he said the salam at the end of two rak'ahs in the 'Asr prayer, the people left quickly"; meaning, as if they did not believe the Messenger had said the salam from there, and off they went.
The student : — No, I am awake, Shaykh —.

The Shaykh : Badri, "When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said the closing salam after the first two units of the 'Asr prayer, the people rushed out"; meaning, it was as if they did not believe that the Messenger had finished from there, by Allah.
The student : Happy that 'Asr had become two rak'ahs!!

The Shaykh : Hehehe, so they left. The rest of the story, as you know, is in the famous hadith of Dhu al-Yadayn: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) moved to a side of the mosque and placed one foot on the other to rest. "And there was a man among the people known as Dhu al-Yadayn. He said: O Messenger of Allah, was the prayer shortened or did you forget? He said:
No such thing happened كلُّ ذلك لم يكُنْ
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1141Sahih (Darussalam)
. He said: Yes, it was. So he (peace be upon him) looked at his companions saying:
Is Dhu al-Yadayn telling the truth? أصدق ذو اليدين ؟
. They said: Yes. So he returned to his place of prostration , and I do not say the mihrab, because there was no mihrab at that time, and the mihrabs in mosques, we should know, are from the newly invented matters,
So he prayed two rak'ahs, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrated before saying the salam فصلى ركعتين ، ثم سجد - عليه الصلاة والسلام - قبل أن يسلم
.
The point is: if this haste occurred from the Companions, then there is no wonder that some people would be hasty as soon as the imam says the salam from here, and if he was one who joined late, he would stand up. So, in order to avoid such an error that occurs with some of those praying behind the imam, we do not say the salam, but rather we immediately prostrate the prostrations for forgetfulness, as long as there is leeway in the matter. — Early, our Professor, you want to take and give until you move the topic, meaning I told you beforehand —.
The student : — I don’t know, I am awake, look, is it permissible, do you think I am sleeping —.
Another student: That is the Messenger of Allah!!!

The Shaykh : But I hope that I am the one who is wrong.
The student : Proof that he is sleeping, Shaykh. Proof that he is sleeping.

The Shaykh : No, I hope I am the one who is wrong, and he is the one who is right. Yes, so this Sunnah, especially for our imams, our Salafi brothers, should be given its due care, as long as there is leeway in the matter, so that we may be of help to people in correcting the prayer. This is what appeared to me.
