The ruling on one who broke her fast due to extreme thirst and did not make it up out of ignorance

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says in another question: I have an aunt who was pregnant in her ninth month. They are Bedouins who travel long distances with their livestock. On one occasion, she suffered from intense thirst, so she broke her fast, although she was fasting in Ramadan. She did not know the ruling on making up the fast, and nearly twenty-five years have passed since this incident. What is the ruling now? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
She must make up the fast, and feed one poor person half a sa' of dates, rice, or wheat, along with repentance and seeking forgiveness for the delay, the failure to ask, and the failure to seek a fatwa. She must repent to Allah because she fell short by not seeking a fatwa. She must fast the day and feed one poor person half a sa' of the staple food of her land. We ask Allah to rectify the condition of everyone.

The presenter: O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good.
