What is the ruling on breaking the fast for a sick person?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: I suffer from an illness, and I ask Allah to cure me of it. This illness comes to me once a month, or twice, or once in two months. Is it permissible for me to break my fast if I am fasting when this illness comes? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, if the illness is difficult for you while you are fasting, you break the fast; because Allah the Exalted says:
So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]فَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ
[al-Baqarah:184] So the sick person for whom fasting is difficult breaks the fast. It is a sunnah (recommended practice)... a dispensation for him
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacityلا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
[al-Baqarah:286], and likewise the traveler breaks the fast.
As for a light illness that does not harm you and is not difficult for you, do not break the fast. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
