The Ruling on Memorizing the Qur'an While There Are Errors

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the last of this questioner's questions, she says: What is the ruling on one who reads the Qur'an and wants to memorize it, but does not know the rules of tajwid (the rules of Qur'anic recitation) and does not give the letters their due during recitation, due to very difficult circumstances or reasons that do not allow him to learn? Please advise us, may Allah reward you.

Answer:
May Allah reward you, may Allah reward you, if Allah wills. He should strive to memorize the Qur'an and read the Qur'an. If some stumbling and some errors occur, he should strive. If it becomes easy for him to have someone read to him at times and he benefits from that, that is good. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
One who is proficient in the Qur'an is associated with the noble, upright, recording angels; and he who falters in it, and finds it difficult for him, will have two rewards.الماهر بالقرآن مع السفرة الكرام البررة، والذي يقرأ القرآن وهو عليه شاق ويتتعتع فيه له أجران
Sahih Muslim 798a
. So the grace is from Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). A person learns the Qur'an and reads it, even if he stumbles, and even if some errors occur from him, so that he benefits. And if it becomes easy for him at some times to have someone read to him and he benefits from him, he should do that, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, Your Eminence.
