Is epilepsy a type of jinn possession?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is epilepsy a type of jinn, or is it something else and not the possession of a human by jinn?

Answer:
Epilepsy has different types: some of it is from jinn, and some is from other causes. Some of it may be due to diseases in the head or a malfunction in some of the blood vessels, causing a seizure. If it is treated with cauterization, the person recovers and is well.
When I was in charge of al-Kharj, there was a man who had seizures. When a blood vessel in his head was cauterized, he was safe and lived for a long time. Then the disease would return when that blood vessel would burst. When it was cauterized again, his health would return. Likewise, one may be afflicted with other diseases besides the blood vessel, resulting in numbness and causing a seizure, without any jinn involved.
It may also be due to jinn possession; there may be a jinn with him that causes the seizure. This and that may occur. All of it is treated through doctors, and it is treated through reciters if it is due to jinn possession.
There are pills now that have been tested for this ordinary epilepsy. They are beneficial, if Allah wills, other than jinn possession.
