Is it permissible to abort a fetus if it is about one month or two weeks old due to having many young children and fear for their upbringing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May I ask you a question?

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : You may answer.

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : I want to ask you about aborting a fetus from its mother's womb, when it is about one month or two weeks old, what do you say?

The Shaykh : I say: Why?

The questioner : Because I have three children, the oldest is three and a half years old, and two and a half years and five months.

The Shaykh : You have not yet mentioned how many days!

The questioner : What?

The Shaykh : And how many days?!

The questioner : I did not understand.

The Shaykh : Okay, and then.

The questioner : And the woman, meaning my wife, gets tired with these children, and so we wanted to ask you what you say in the situation where if we wanted to, and now I was using withdrawal, but Allah decreed and what He willed happened, so I think my wife is pregnant, and so I wanted to know what the Shari'ah says in this?

The Shaykh : Do you know that the Shari'ah offers you, as parents, a reward for pregnancy, childbirth, and upbringing, or not?!

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Okay, do you desire to turn away from this reward?!

The questioner : No, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : If the answer is: No, then be patient with the divine decree and destiny, and the affair of the believer is all good.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : If he is struck with ease and he praises Allah and gives thanks, it is good for him, and if he is struck with hardship and he is patient, it is good for him, so the affair of the believer is all good.

The questioner : May Allah bless you, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Astonishing is this humanity! People to whom Allah grants children, what Allah willed, flee from the multitude of children, and other people are afflicted with barrenness and run from one doctor to another, we want a child by any means, even if it is by a means that is forbidden!

The questioner : That is correct, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes, and so I tell you, be patient, and your patience is only through Allah.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, I want to tell you something, the one thing that drove me to ask you this question is the upbringing, so we were afraid that we would not be able to raise them in a proper way.

The Shaykh : So you do not fear.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Do not fear, but you must take the causes that Allah commands you to take, and then after that rely upon the Lord of lords, and to Him belongs perfection and completeness, it is not upon you, you are only to take the causes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : And may He reward you.

The questioner : O Shaykh!

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : I love you for the sake of Allah.

The Shaykh : May Allah love you for the sake of which you loved me.

The questioner : Pray for us, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : I wish you all good, if Allah wills.

The questioner : I am in a disbeliever's land.

The Shaykh : May Allah help you and save you from it.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, I hope to move... O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : If Allah wills, soon, you only need to strive,
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا
[Al-'Ankabut 29:69]
.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.

The Shaykh : You must engage in jihad, and peace be upon you.
