The ruling on women delegating the stoning of the pillars due to the crowd

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Most women nowadays delegate someone to stone the pillars on their behalf, citing the crowd as their excuse. Is this obligatory?

Answer:
The prescribed practice is for them to stone the pillars themselves, except for one who is unable: due to old age, illness, having children with her, being pregnant and fearing for her safety, or an intense crowd where there is no way to manage; this is a valid legal excuse. If it is feasible to delay until the night to be safer from the crowd, they should stone on the eleventh and twelfth days, which is usually the case, unless there is no crowd in the middle of the night or during the night. Likewise, on the day of the festival, if it is difficult for them and they delay until the night of the eleventh, there is no harm, if Allah wills. This is the correct view, and there is scholarly disagreement among the scholars, but this is the correct one.
