Q: Well, Muslim narrated from Aisha that she said: When a person among us would fall ill, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would wipe him with his right hand, then say:
Adhhibil-bas, Rabban-nas, washfi Antash-Shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka shifa’an la yughadiru saqama (Take away the pain, O Lord of mankind, and grant healing, for You are the Healer, and there is no healing but Your healing that leaves no trace of sickness)أذهب البأس رب الناس، واشفِ أنت الشافي، لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك، شفاءً لا يُغادر سقمًا

. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became ill and his condition grew severe, I took his hand to do as he used to do, but he pulled his hand from mine, then said:
O Allah, pardon me and make me join the companion. ship onاللهم اغفر لي، واجعلني مع الرفيق الأعلى

. She said: So I went to look, and behold, he had passed away?
A: May Allah send blessings upon him. He knew that his appointed time had come, peace and blessings be upon him, and for this reason he said: O Allah, place me with the highest company in Paradise.
