Ruling on filming stories from Islamic history as movies

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Now, regarding stories specific to Islamic history and the like: there is a historical figure they film, and then they film it in the form of a movie, and these are hand-drawn images?

Answer:
The point is that images are forbidden except for what is necessitated by dire necessity; because Allah said:
while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelledوَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ
[Surat al-An'am: 119]. What we are compelled to do regarding derivative images, or academic evidence that is not obtained except through them, is excused on account of dire necessity.
