Reading from Ibn Aqil’s commentary (may Allah have mercy on him), with the Shaykh’s annotations: " .

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author said (may Allah have mercy on him): "The followers, the adjective:
It follows the first nouns in their grammatical case *** as an adjective, an emphatic, a conjunction, and a substitute:
A follower is a noun that shares the grammatical case of the noun preceding it in all cases. This includes in your statement 'a noun that shares the grammatical case of the noun preceding it' all the other followers, the predicate of a nominal sentence, such as 'Zayd is standing,' and the state of a noun in the accusative case, such as 'I struck Zayd naked.' And by your statement 'in all cases,' the predicate and the state of a noun in the accusative case are excluded, for they do not share the grammatical case of what precedes them in all cases, but only in some of their states. This is unlike the follower, which shares the grammatical case of what precedes it in all its states of grammatical case, such as 'I passed by Zayd the noble one,' 'I saw Zayd the noble one,' and 'Zayd the noble one came.' And the follower is of five types"
.

The Shaykh : Now, and better than this is to say: A follower is: "one that shares the grammatical case of what precedes it", and this includes.
