The reward for raising three daughters

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Uqbah bin Amir said, I heard the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) say: "Whoever has three daughters and is patient towards them, and feeds them, gives them to drink, and clothes them from his wealth; they will be a shield for him from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.'"من كانت له ثلاث بنات فصبر عليهن وسقاهن وكساهن كن له حجابا من النار
Sunan Ibn Majah 3669Sahih (Darussalam)
Does this serve as a shield from the Fire for their father only, or is the mother also a partner in that? And I have, praise be to Allah, three daughters.

A: The hadith is general for the father and the mother, based on his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:
Whoever has two daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire.من كان له ابنتان فأحسن إليهما كنّ له سترا من النار
Likewise, if a man has sisters, aunts, or female cousins, or the like, and he treats them well, we hope for him Paradise on account of that. For whenever he treats them well, he thereby deserves the great reward, is shielded from the Fire, and is kept away from the Fire by his good deeds. This is specific to Muslims; when a Muslim performs these good deeds seeking the Face of Allah, he thereby causes his own salvation from the Fire.
Salvation from the Fire and entry into Paradise have many causes. The believer should seek to accumulate as many of them as possible. Islam itself is the sole foundation and the primary cause for entering Paradise and being saved from the Fire.
There are deeds that, if a Muslim performs them, he will enter Paradise and be saved from the Fire. For example, if a man is blessed with daughters or sisters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire. Likewise, if three of his children die before reaching the age of accountability, they will be a barrier for him from the Fire. They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what about two?" He said:
And twoواثنان
. They did not ask about one, and it is authentic from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Allah the Exalted says:يقول الله 
There is no reward for my believing servant if I take his beloved from the people of this world and he is patient and puts his trust in Allah, except Paradise. Thus, he (may He be Exalted) made it clear that there is no reward for the believing servant with Him if He takes his beloved — that is, his loved one — from the people of this world and he is patient and puts his trust in Allah, except Paradise. So, if one of our children is taken by Allah and He gathers him to Himself, and his father or mother or both are patient and put their trust in Allah, they will have Paradise. This is a great favor from Allah. Likewise, the husband and wife, and the rest of the relatives and friends, if they are patient and put their trust in Allah, they will be included in this hadith, provided they are safe from what might prevent that, such as dying while committing some of the major sins. We ask Allah for safety.
