Is the prayer valid behind one who calls for aid from other than Allah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Is it permissible for me to pray behind one who calls for aid from other than Allah and utters words like, "Save us, O Savior, help me, O Jilani"? And if I find no one else, am I allowed to pray in my house?

A: It is not permissible to pray behind any of the mushrikin (those who associate partners with Allah), including those who call for aid from other than Allah and seek help from them; because calling for aid from other than Allah, whether from the dead, idols, jinn, or anything else, is shirk (associating partners with Allah) with Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). However, there is no harm in calling for aid from a living, present creature who is capable of helping you; because Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said regarding the story of Musa:
the one from his faction called for help to him against the one from his enemyفَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ
[Surat al-Qasas: 15].
If you do not find a Muslim imam behind whom you can pray, it is permissible for you to pray in your house. If you find a group of Muslims who are able to pray in the mosque before or after the mushrik imam, pray with them. If the Muslims are able to remove the mushrik imam and appoint a Muslim imam to lead the people in prayer, it is obligatory for them to do so; because that falls under the category of enjoining good and forbidding evil and establishing the law of Allah on His earth, if that can be done without fitnah (trial, discord or temptation); because Allah the Exalted said:
The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrongوَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ
[Surat al-Tawbah: 71] and He (Glorified and Exalted is He) said:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Surat al-Taghabun: 16] and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is the least of faith.من رأى منكم منكرا فليغيره بيده، فإن لم يستطع فبلسانه فإن لم يستطع فبقلبه، وذلك أضعف الإيمان
