The ruling on a woman removing her hijab in the presence of women

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We return at the beginning of this episode to the letter from our sister (A. A.) from al-Ahsa. We presented part of her questions in a previous episode, and in this episode she has a number of remaining questions. She asks this question and says: Is it permissible to remove the hijab in front of my friends while I am visiting them, given that the place is free of men, and the men of the house are aware that we are inside? I ask for clarification. May Allah reward you with good?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for the answer: There is no blame on a woman for removing her hijab in the presence of women, such as the khimar on her head or the abaya she is wearing, or the like. There is nothing wrong with that; because a woman has no obligation to cover herself from another woman, even if she is a disbeliever, according to the correct opinion. Even if the woman is a disbeliever, like some of the maids, it is not obligatory for a woman to cover herself from a woman, whether she is of her religion or not. This is the most correct of the scholars' opinions regarding the disbeliever. Some of the people of knowledge say that she should cover herself from the disbeliever; because Allah said:
Or their womenأَوْ نِسَائِهِنَّ
[al-Nur: 31].
The correct view is that it is not obligatory to cover oneself from a disbeliever; rather, she is like a Muslim woman. However, it is not permissible to bring disbelieving women into these Saudi lands; because it is the Peninsula, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the disbelievers to be expelled from the Peninsula.
So the conclusion is that there is no blame on a woman for removing her hijab in the presence of women, if there is no non-mahram in the place, and there is no one she suspects of looking at her or trying to look at her. If the place is safe, there is nothing wrong with it. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
