Ruling on a woman taking from her husband's money out of necessity without his knowledge

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a letter received by the program from the questioner (B. A. A.) from Sudan. She says: I am a housewife, and my husband owns a shop. He used to give me a little sugar to make sweets so I could sell them, and I would put the proceeds from selling them into some of the household necessities that my husband refuses to bring. Now my husband has refused to give me this sugar, and I am taking it secretly. What is the ruling on that?
Answer: There is no blame if it is for the benefit of the house and the usual needs of the house, provided there is no extravagance or waste. It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that Hind bint 'Utbah, the wife of Abu Sufyan ibn Harb, asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said:
O Messenger of Allah! Abu Sufyan does not give me from the maintenance what suffices me and my children. Is there any sin on me if I take from his wealth without his knowledge what suffices me and my children? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no blame. Take from his wealth in the customary manner what suffices you and your children.
, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted her a dispensation to take from his wealth what suffices her and her children in the customary manner, meaning: in the customary way that involves no extravagance or waste. So if she takes from his wealth sugar or other money for this need, for the usual need of the house and the children, there is no blame in that, even without his knowledge. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
