The ruling on one who forgets al-Fatihah in prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This questioner, Salih Abdullah, says: What is the ruling for a person who remembers while in prostration that he did not recite al-Fatihah? What should he do?
The answer: He has to perform an extra rak'ah. He completes his prayer and performs an extra rak'ah in which he recites al-Fatihah in place of the one from which he omitted al-Fatihah; because the one from which he omitted al-Fatihah is invalid. So he performs a rak'ah in its place and prostrates for forgetfulness. He should signal to those behind him to stand up so that they follow him. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
