Ruling on one who finds moisture on his clothes and does not know what it is

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth and final message in this session is from (E. E. S.) from Dammam, in the Ibn Khaldun district. He says: If a person is sleeping and wakes up to see water or traces of water on his clothes, but he does not know what type it is, and he cannot distinguish between semen and other fluids, and he has prayed without performing the ritual bath, then he remembers afterward that he had a dream that caused him to have a wet dream, what is obligatory for him? Does he repeat the prayers he performed, or what does he do?
Answer: Yes, if he knows that it is semen, he performs the ritual bath for major ritual impurity and repeats the prayer he performed. However, if he did not remember anything of that and the water is ambiguous to him, so he does not know whether it is semen or urine, then he washes his clothes as a precaution, and the ritual bath for major ritual impurity is not obligatory for him, unless it is more likely in his mind that it is semen. As for if he does not know, he leaves it, and washing the clothes or the ritual bath for major ritual impurity is not obligatory for him, unless he knows that it is urine or knows that it is pre-seminal fluid, in which case he washes the clothes. Pre-seminal fluid is sprinkled on the clothes, and urine is washed and wrung out. Semen is pure, and washing it is not obligatory, but if he rubs it or washes it, that is more preferable and better. If it is more likely in his mind that it is semen, the ritual bath is obligatory for him. If it is more likely in his mind that it is urine, washing the clothes and cleaning himself from this urine that affected his thigh or affected something else is obligatory for him.
So the conclusion is that if he knows that it is semen or it is more likely in his mind that it is semen, he performs the ritual bath and repeats the prayers he performed without the ritual bath. This may become clear if it was due to caressing or thinking while sleeping, in which case it is mostly semen or pre-seminal fluid. Semen and pre-seminal fluid differ; semen is a thick fluid that is distinct, and pre-seminal fluid is a weak fluid that leaves a trace... on the clothes and is not semen. So he should investigate this matter and strive to do so. If the signs of semen appear, he performs the ritual bath. If the signs of pre-seminal fluid appear, he sprinkles his clothes, washes his penis and testicles, and performs cleaning after relieving oneself, and this is sufficient. If it is urine, and urine is also not hidden, he washes the clothes, washing what affected the clothes and washing what affected his thigh if anything affected it, and cleaning after relieving oneself and the prescribed ablution are sufficient for him. Yes.
