The third question from Fatwa number ( 20628 )
Q3: A man had a wet dream while sleeping and woke up suddenly, thinking that he had not ejaculated. He performed wudu and prayed Fajr. At Dhuhr, he found a drop on his clothes. What is obligatory for him in this case, is he required to make up the Fajr prayer, and how is the makeup performed?
A3 : If a person wakes up from sleep and finds moisture on his clothes and confirms that it is semen, he must perform ghusl, even if he does not remember having a wet dream. If he does not see it until after the prayer, he must perform ghusl and repeat the prayer he performed without ghusl. If he does not confirm that the drop is semen, it has no ruling and his prayer is valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
