The Necessity of Calling to Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
So, the feeling toward enjoining good and forbidding evil indicates certain things. Perhaps His Eminence the Shaykh has a word to say about this?
Answer: There is no doubt that the people of good and those who are zealous for the religion of Allah are greatly affected by the prevalence of evil, destructive schools of thought, and deviant ideas found in most of the world today. Therefore, they strive to have people who call to Allah and who forbid what is wrong, from among the scholars and those with insight and zeal for Allah , so that evil does not multiply, so that the situation does not worsen, and so that the Muslims do not suffer greater harm. And, by the praise of Allah, there is an awakening in this era, and in the latter part of the previous era, in the last of the fourteenth century and in this century. There is, praise be to Allah, an awakening and concern from many young and old people throughout the world, outside the Kingdom, in neighboring countries, in Africa, and in Asia, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Pakistan, and likewise in Europe and America. There is, by the praise of Allah, a movement and an awakening to convey the call of Allah, to enlighten people about the religion, and to ask about what is difficult for them. This is a matter we have known for a long time, in the last of the previous century and in this century. The scholars occupied with this matter also know it, for they feel a great activity in most of the world, with correspondence and writings. All of this, by the praise of Allah, is a sign of good.
We ask Allah to guide the Muslims to what pleases Him, to grant them understanding of the religion, and to increase among them the callers to guidance. We ask Him to guide them to accept the truth and prefer it over all else, for He is the best of those asked. We also ask Him, Glorified and Exalted is He, to reform the leaders of the Muslims everywhere, to reform their inner circles, and to help them prefer the truth and call to it, and to implement the Shari'ah of Allah among His servants. For it is, by Allah, the only path and the best path for the reform of the Ummah and its salvation in this world and the Hereafter. Implementing the Shari'ah in the affairs of the Muslims is the path by which their happiness, salvation, and the resolution of their problems are achieved, and by which corruption among them is eradicated, evil is prevented, good is established, and the wrongdoer is deterred from his falsehood. So we ask Allah to guide the leaders of the Muslims to adhere to it, implement it, and beware of what contradicts it, for He is the best of those asked.
