The ruling on performing Hajj on behalf of another before performing it for oneself

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
One of the listening brothers sent a question, saying: Is it permissible for a person to perform Hajj on behalf of someone else before his own Hajj? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: A person may not perform Hajj on behalf of another until he has performed it for himself, as is established by this report from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he heard a man saying:
"Here I am on behalf of Shubrumah." He said: "Who is Shubrumah?"لبيك عن شبرمة فقال: من شبرمة ؟
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 4:64
, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
He asked who Shubruma was, and the man replied, “A brother of mine," or “a relative of mine." He asked whether he had performed the pilgrimage on his own behalf, and when he replied that he had not, he said, “Perform the pilgrimage on your own behalf, then perform it on behalf of Shubruma."من شبرمة قال: أخ لي أو قريب لي، قال: حججت عن نفسك؟ قال: لا، قال: حج عن نفسك ثم حج عن شبرمة
Mishkat al-Masabih 2529
. However, if he sends money to some people to perform Hajj with it, there is no harm. But for him to perform it with his own body, no, he may not perform Hajj with his own body... before he has performed it, he may not perform it on behalf of another with his own body before performing it for himself. Rather, he starts with himself and performs Hajj. As for if he gives a person money and says, "Perform Hajj for my father or my brother," there is no harm, there is no harm in this. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
