Ruling on Listening to the Qur'an While Doing Household Chores

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The listener (L. A. A.) from the Arab Republic of Egypt, residing in Dammam, sent a question saying: Is it permissible to listen to the Noble Qur'an while I am working at home, for example in the kitchen, given that I am focusing on the recitation and listening well?
Answer: Yes, there is nothing wrong with it; in fact, this is good, as long as you are listening in the kitchen or in any place other than the bathroom. There is nothing wrong with it, combining the two benefits: listening to the Noble Qur'an and the work you are doing, which Allah has prescribed for you and commanded you to do. So you are in a great state of goodness, whether in the sitting room, at the coffee table, or in the kitchen; there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, this is good, as long as you are listening to it and paying attention to it. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
