Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The saying: "I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as Messenger and Prophet," when is it said, after finishing the adhan or during the adhan?
Answer: These good words are said in the morning and evening three times:
I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion and with Muhammad (ﷺ) as Apostleرضيت بالله ربًا، وبالإسلام دينًا، وبمحمد رسولًا
Sunan Abi Dawud 1529Sahih (Al-Albani)
(peace and blessings be upon him). In the authentic hadith, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says:
I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion and with Muhammad (ﷺ) as Apostle" Paradise will be his due.رضيت بالله ربًا، وبالإسلام دينا، وبمحمد رسولًا وجبت له الجنة
Sunan Abi Dawud 1529Sahih (Al-Albani)
, and in the other wording:
He has found the taste of faith ( iman ) who is content with Allah as his Lord, with Islam as his religion (code of life) and with Muhammad (ﷺ) as his Prophet.ذاق طعم الإيمان من رضي بالله ربًا، وبالإسلام دينًا، وبمحمد رسولًا
Sahih Muslim 34
(peace and blessings be upon him). It is recommended that they be said at the two testimonies in the adhan. When the mu'adhdhin responds: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," one says at that moment: "I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad as Messenger." This is based on what is established in the authentic hadith in Muslim from Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that whoever says that at the two testimonies
His sin is forgivenغفر له ذنبه
. Yes. It is said at the two testimonies.
The presenter: At the two testimonies, and it is said in the morning and evening?
The Shaykh: Yes.
The presenter: May Allah bless you, may Allah reward you.
