The first message in this episode is from Riyadh, sent by one of the listening brothers. He says: Sa'd Abu Muhammad. Our brother Sa'd has a long question in which he asks: Is it permissible for the righteous jinn to reside in the bodies of Muslim humans, with evidence? Knowing that some of the righteous jinn do not harm humans, but rather they descend and possess them in order to listen to the dhikr and the Qur'an. And some of the righteous jinn recite the Qur'an and expel the wicked jinn from some humans through the tongue of the human host in whom they reside. May Allah reward you with good?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows: There is no doubt that it is not permissible for the jinn to reside in the bodies of humans, nor to transgress against them, nor to harm them. Among the greatest injustices and the greatest harms is for a jinni to mix with a human, reside in his body, and possess him; because of the corruption of his mind and the fact that it places him in the category of the insane, along with the other evils and other harms involved. And Allah the Exalted says: [Al-Furqan: 19]. And He the Glorious and Exalted says in His great Book: [Al-Shura: 8]. And He says: [Al-Insan: 31]. So it is not permissible for a jinni to harm the Muslim human, nor is it permissible for the human to harm them or hurt them. Each of them must respect the other and beware of oppressing him. It is well known what harm and great corruption result from a jinni settling in the body of a human, whether the human is a Muslim or a disbeliever. He has no right to reside in the body of a human, nor to harm him, nor to hurt him. It is also well known what repulsion people feel toward the one in whom a jinni has entered, and what harm and injury he suffers in that regard. So it is obligatory for the jinn to beware of oppressing humans and to stay away from harming them. If he wants to hear the Qur'an, he should hear it in the circles of knowledge and circles of the Qur'an without possessing the human. He is able to hear the Qur'an and the hadiths by attending the circles of knowledge in mosques and elsewhere. As for his claiming that he wants to hear the Qur'an from him, that is an error and a false claim with no basis. And Allah is the One to be sought for help. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. What must the human do so that he does not harm the jinni, O Shaykh?
The Shaykh: The human must seek refuge in the lawful means of seeking refuge that Allah has taught him regarding the jinn. Among these is Ayat al-Kursi at bedtime:[Al-Baqarah 2:255] to its end: [Al-Baqarah: 255].
And among these is reciting: (Say: He is Allah, the One) and the two Mu'awwidhat (chapters of seeking refuge) three times at bedtime. And among these is saying in the evening and morning: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever settles in a place and says:Sahih Muslim 2708a and says: meaning: the poison of poisonous creatures, nothing will harm him until he departs from that place.
And among these is saying: (In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing) three times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Musnad Ahmad 474Hasan (Darussalam), so he says: Sunan Ibn Majah 3869 And among these is saying: (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and flying creature and from every evil eye) These lawful means of seeking refuge are by which Allah protects the servant from the harm of the jinn and others. And among these is: .
And in the authentic hadith:, so the mention of Allah and seeking refuge in Him the Exalted are among the causes of safety from the devils. The believer should maintain this and adhere to the lawful daily recitations that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) explained. In that is protection from Allah the Mighty and Majestic and safety for the servant from the harm of both jinn and humans. And Allah is the One to be sought for help. Yes.
