The ruling on the sacrificial animal when moving into a new house

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
You say: We have a custom; when a person builds a new house and wants to move into it, he must slaughter a sacrificial animal, which they call: the opening of the house. Is this statement correct? And does it have a basis?
Answer: If the intention is to thank Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for His blessing, and he invites his brothers, loved ones, and neighbors, then there is nothing wrong with it. However, if it is based on a belief, slaughtering for the sake of the jinn, or out of fear of the jinn, this is not permissible. This is a known custom among people when they move into a new house, whether they built it or bought it. Generally, he invites his brothers, relatives, and neighbors, honoring them in thanks to Allah for the blessing of residence. If it is of this nature, then there is nothing wrong with it; this is part of thanking Allah. But if it is based on a bad belief, slaughtering it for the sake of the jinn, or out of fear of the evil of the jinn, then it is not permissible. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
