The ruling on one who took money without the owner's knowledge and then died

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Abdullah al-Hamad says: A Saudi resident in the state of Qatar sent a message containing this question. He says: I have a brother who passed away twelve years ago. A few years before his death, he took fifty riyals from one of his relatives without that person's knowledge. My brother was seventeen years old at the time. What should I do so that the person I mentioned forgives him?
May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: Repeat, repeat.

The presenter: He says: I have a brother who passed away twelve years ago. A few years before his death, he took fifty riyals from one of his relatives without that person's knowledge. My brother was seventeen years old at the time. What should I do so that that person forgives him?

Answer:
It is obligatory to deliver the fifty to its owner so that he forgives him and grants him permission. If he grants permission without the delivery of the money and forgives the deceased, there is no harm, may Allah reward him with good. This applies to the estate if he had an estate.
As for if your brother did not have an estate, and you volunteered to pay it from your own money, may Allah reward you with good. And if the owner grants permission and forgives your brother, that is sufficient, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
