The Ruling on the Adhan at the Grave and Qunut After Burial

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is the adhan valid for the deceased in the grave, or is it not? And is it permissible to perform qunut after burying the deceased?

Answer:
All of this is a religious innovation (bid'ah). The adhan is not called at the grave, and the known qunut of supplication is not performed. However, one should make ordinary supplication for him. When they finish the burial, they should ask Allah for his steadfastness and forgiveness.
As for qunut like the qunut of prayer, no. But each person should supplicate for his brother. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he finished burying the deceased, would stand over him and say:
Seek forgiveness for your brother, and beg steadfastness for him, for he will be questioned now.استغفروا لأخيكم، واسألوا له التثبيت فإنه الآن يسأل
Sunan Abi Dawud 3221Sahih (Al-Albani)
He would say: O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, grant him steadfastness with the firm word. O Allah, grant him steadfastness upon the truth. And he does not perform the qunut of prayer. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
