Ruling on the invalidation of wudu' from touching the 'awrah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a letter we received from the wife of a Muslim doctor, in which she says: Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings, and after that:
My husband, by virtue of his work as a gynecologist, examines the 'awrah of women, which compels him to touch them. He wears nylon gloves. So, if he is in a state of wudu' and touches a woman's 'awrah while wearing the gloves, does his wudu' become invalid or not?

Answer:
If one touches the 'awrah without a barrier, it does not become invalid, whether it is him or anyone else. If a man touches his 'awrah from behind a garment, or from behind trousers, his wudu' does not become invalid. Likewise, if a woman touches her 'awrah from behind a garment, or from behind trousers, the purity is not invalidated.
Likewise, if a male doctor touches the 'awrah because necessity requires him to expose a woman and treat her private parts, then if he touches the private parts without a barrier, his wudu' does not become invalid. This is unlike if he touches it with flesh, where flesh touches flesh, in which case the wudu' becomes invalid. Yes.
