The Prohibition of Treating with Spilled Blood and Amulets

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a person falls ill, they call a shaykh to treat him, and he makes an amulet; this is when the illness is madness or sorcery, and he sprinkles spilled blood on him. Did this happen in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Companions?

Answer:
This is abominable, I seek refuge in Allah. Sprinkling him with spilled blood is abominable, it is impure, and it is not permissible. Likewise, making amulets, where he writes amulets for him to hang around his neck, or on his arm, or elsewhere, all of this is not permissible. The Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hangs a tamimah, Allah will not complete for him, and whoever hangs a wada'ah, Allah will not grant him peace.
,
Whoever hangs up an amulet has committed shirk.
.
The point is: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited this, hanging amulets, which are tamimahs on papers, or rags, or skins, containing supplications or verses or talismans. All of this is not permissible. It is not hung on the patient’s hand, or his neck, or elsewhere; because the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited this. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hangs up a tamimah, Allah will not complete [his well-being] for him; whoever hangs up a wada'ah, Allah will not protect him.
,
Whoever hangs up an amulet has committed shirk.
.
Therefore, it is obligatory for the people of Islam to abandon these abominable things; because the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited them. As for pouring impure blood, this is an obvious abomination. And "spilled" means the blood that flows out from the animal at the time of slaughter. This is impure and forbidden. So it is obligatory for the Muslim to beware of what Allah has forbidden him.
As for if he recites the Qur'an for him, recites al-Fatihah, the Verse of the Throne, and blows on him, and makes du'a for him, this is good......, and likewise if he takes medicine for him from knowledgeable doctors, and treats him with some medicine, there is no harm. The Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah does not send down any disease, but He also sends down the cure.
Sunan Ibn Majah 3439Sahih (Darussalam)
So medicine is not a problem, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
