Guidance for a woman who did not learn the rulings of menstruation until after several years

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She says: If there is a girl who did not know the rulings of menstruation, and what is obligatory for a woman to do, until after several years, how do you advise her regarding the past of her life?

Answer:
If she did not fast, no, she did not make up the fast, then the most cautious course for her is to fast. She should fast, because she is accountable, and she was lax in the matter. This is something that is not unknown; Muslims know it. Her laxity does not exempt her from fasting. So what we see for her is that she should fast, even if the period was long. She should make it up, even if not consecutively. She should fast the Ramadans that Allah made obligatory upon her in the past, even if scattered. There is no harm in that. This is the most apparent and clearest in the scriptural evidence.
As for the prayer, she owes no prayer. A menstruating woman owes no prayer. If she prayed while menstruating, her prayer is invalid. She owes nothing in this matter, except repentance to Allah. The fact that she prayed while menstruating requires her to repent to Allah. The prayer is invalid, and she owes nothing else. As for fasting, she must make up the fast. Even if she fasted during the days of menstruation, her fasting during the days of menstruation is not valid, so she must make it up. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
